Young farmers helping young farmers

Mkulima Young is an initiative by ACLECOPS. It aims at encouraging youth to engage in agricultural issues. Young farmers are plagued with problems affecting their productivity and marketing where middlemen offer meager prices for their produce,  delays with payments and expensive farm inputs.

Mkulima Young is connecting young farmers and those aspiring them with each other in a virtual space

Dear my fellow farmers, accept my gratitude of the past, current and future on your well valuable advise. I again need your expertise. I have recently been strongly thinking of embarking on farming as a full time employment as I currently unemployed and with a family of 7 kids I need urgent source of income. However, I have been lucky to secure a financial input of Ksh1M to invest in farming, Till gone weekend I had layers (poultry farming) in mind, I met a lady from central who is doing fish farnming and she has advise if I had land, I will be better if I invest on this agribusiness. Now I am kind of confused and your advise will be paramount. Would you be very kind to contribute with advantage and disadvantage of both poultry or fishing agribusiness. - Lawrence Gakure
